CONTEST – Iceage @ Parts & Labour – August 17, 2011

Photo By Alberte KarrebaekAlberte KarrebaekWho: Iceage
What: Underage Danish quartet who cultivate an aggressively gloomy, yet rough and tumble strain of post-punk with occasional bursts of tunefulness and melody. Possibly accidentally.
Why: Their debut New Brigade garnered a “Best New Music” so they’re bringing all 25 minutes of it and a reputation for… rowdy live shows across the Atlantic.
When: Wednesday, August 17, 2011
Where: The Shop at Parts & Labour in Toronto (19+)
Who else: Nothing is opening. Wait, you mean there’s no opener? No, I mean the opener is called Nothing. Well who are they? How the hell should I know. Have you ever tried Googling “Nothing”?
How: Tickets for the show are $10 in advance but courtesy of Embrace, I’ve got two pairs of passes to give away. To enter, email me at contests AT chromewaves.net with “I want an Iceage” in the subject line and your full name in the body, and have that in to me before midnight, August 14.
What else: The Georgia Straight has an interview with the band.

MP3: Iceage – “White Rune”
