Little Fury Things

Nerve talks to Ben Gibbard of Death Cab and The Postal Service about, well, sex. What else does Nerve ever talk about?

I’m interested in going to see the Fruit Bats on the 15th at the B-Side. Tagged a psychedelic folk-pop band, the reviews are very positive and it won’t be an expensive show. They are from Chicago and their new record Mouthfuls is out on SubPop. Endorsements or condemnations of the band are welcome.

I have to go return the copy of Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind I got from the library three weeks ago. I got a grand total of 20 pages into the thing. It was good – don’t get me wrong – but I just didn’t have the time to read. I should place another hold on it immediately and by the time I get it again in a year, maybe my reading schedule will have opened up a bit.

Truly a stinky rehearsal tonight. Literally stinky – that room was not a pleasant olfactory experience when we were done… I can’t wait till the summer really hits and we’re even sweatier. But it was a productive rehearsal – which is good since we won’t all be around for at least the next two weeks. Vacations, dontcha know (well, not me. Everyone else.) And we’ve selected a new cover. It’s a total blast.

Nerve? [sigh]. Just a few days it was Playboy… Well, I suppose we all know where your mind is headed; OR; there is a serious gap in the indierock porn supply. There’s a website in there somewhere.

And before you ask. Sure! I’ll pose (just not with you).

headed? I thought it was pretty clear where my mind already is? I will have to try harder. Brad does set the bar for filthy-minded pretty high, though.

Hey Frank – I’ve heard good things about the Fruit Bats as well. Let me know if you’re going to go, I may join you.
