In Shreds

The Chameleons have split again, and it looks like this time it’s even more permenant than their split in the late 80s. Thanks to the wonder of the internet, the in-fighting between Mark, Reg, Dave and John has become very very public and is pretty nasty. It’s sad to see, but I can’t say I’m terribly surprised. At the reunion show in Toronto last year, Mark seemed to be having a blast but Reg and Dave didn’t look overly happy. The tension was palpable then and I guess it just blew up. A pity, but I’m glad to have been able to have caught them live during their abbreviated armistice.

Now – let’s get The House Of Love over here before Terry, Pete and Chris remember why they ditched Guy in the first place.

Today is Earth Day. Go outside and hug some dirt.

    Hug Some Dirt!

Second time I heard this today, first time was from a 13yr punk ass kid.

This came after mentioning are Earth Day field trip to Green Acres. My response which also applies to you went something like this.

Yes we could hug the dirt and give it the respect it deserves. We could also go plant some trees to freshen the air. We could recycle paper so as not to destroy our forests. Most importantly we could reduce the amount of garbage we make but using less. (Went on to explain choices you can make when packing a lunch) If we dont start making changes the we will have a world where we will have to wear masks to allows to breath the air, not prevent sars. We will use water to clean the bathroom and Mr Clean to clean the water.

My little speech went right over their heads but you I think understand. So instead of making the comments do something.

And Mr Sanyal Grade 8 Teacher extraordinaire steps of the soapbox.
