I do agree with your initial reaction to Thorpe's falsetto vocal-stylings causing you to pull away as I had the exact same response myself. However, there was just something in the music that kept drawing me back until I eventually found myself unable to comprehend anyone but Thorpe singing. *Two Dancers* is very much what I like a Britpop record to sound like.
