Every Clientele record might be their last if you listen to Alasdair. He said it after both “Strange Geometry” and “God Save…” and probably after “the Violet Hour,” too. And now here we are with “Bonfires.” I hope this never ends.

That last Clientele album gets even better with age (God Bless the Clientele), is a perfect late summer record, and they were a highlight of Mergefest. Glad to see you’re on the mission to rescue them from “most underrated” status!
