based on the photo above (and this isn't mean to denigrate Mr. Wolf's talents at all, since I haven't heard his music) I have to ask - have he and Bruno ever been seen in the same room at the same time?

Jaguar Love were definitely a lot of fun, wig-out exuberance and surprisingly catchy tunes. The Plastiscines were very... fetching. Like four Parisian models, they were more runway than Runaways, and on a scale between Bikini Kill and the Go-Gos, hewed closer to the Go-gos end of things. But they rocked nonetheless. And when they pulled out the Nancy Sinatra card, it all made sense. Classic sass. Reminded me a lot of an early Toronto group called the B-Girls.

Living Things were pretty much exactly the kind of group I don't like. Tight and competent, yes, but all crisp beats and cock-rock riffage in the service of not much. Just my taste, but I will allow that it seemed to be the cup of tea of some in the audience.

Patrick Wolf. A very promising start and an impressive performance, until 'The Incident'. After ten minutes of "will he come back?", despite the onstage roadie activity, I wasn't inclined to stick around to see what might or might not happen, and we left before we heard any promises issuing from the stage. It might have been fatigue setting in after all the delays had turned a three-and-a-half-hour evening into almost five, but it sounds like it would have been worth it to stay after all (if only to hear "Magic Position"). My loss. If the sound he was getting out of the ukulele was any indication of his monitor experience onstage, I suppose his fit of temperament was somewhat understandable. But having seen a few similar outbursts from other artists in the past, I think my tolerence for them isn't what it used to be. For your sake, though, it's good to hear your patience was rewarded!

I thought Patrick was going full Kevin Barnes on us for a moment. Most fun I've had at a concert in a long while. Those that left after the tantrum (which actually added to the evening) missed something truly great. Can't wait for him to come back.
