I had an almost identical experience trying to see Matt and Kim at Whippersnapper, except that having only a wristband, despite being fifth in line and 35 minutes early, I had to concede a lost cause and bail out. Even the gaggle of people with VIP passes were shut out. Not sure how long the 100+ people behind me in line stuck around, but I felt for them too. Good to hear you got into the Coeur show, though. Also enjoyed Parlovr. I saw them on the street afterwards, sweatily hustling their equipment around the corner to the Elmo to do a second set in one of the TBA timeslots, which they sounded very excited about. And you've pretty much summed up how I felt about Kill Krinkle. What I did see was mostly... uncomfortable. Perhaps best to accept their jet-lag excuse and leave it at that.
