Last year I flew to Barcelona, where
The Radio Dept was supposed to headline
primavera al parc, the free Sunday day of
primavera sound….
Even Young Marble Giants played the rest but not The Dept…

Although the physical US release isn’t until April 14, the Ida Maria is out digitally as of yesterday through all the usual outlets. Tasty.

Already making my travel plans. No way am I missing out on this visit, especially when the fall tour is a ‘maybe’. Glad they’re adding a second NYC show, which may make it _slightly_ easier to get tix to the Popfest one.

Know it was. But you’re right about the lack of info. Swedish newspapers are normally well-informed, but there’s absolutely nothing to be found. I refuse (that word again) to wait 15 years for the album, so the indie-pop equivalent of Chinese Democracy? I hope not :)

the “refused” remark was in jest – I know they’ll release it when it’s done, it just seems the further we get from that September 9 date, the less information there is about the album. It’s the indie-pop Chinese Democracy. I am hoping for Fall.

Refuse to release? Somehow I very much doubt that they’ve finished recording it. In a way I’ve been expecting that the next thing we would hear from the band would be a split up announcement, but luckily that doesn’t seem to be the case. I just did a quick search and no Swedish written media has posted any (relevant) news on the band since September last year (when the album was delayed). Tried contacting Labrador?
