Awesome shots and review! Too cool on getting to hang with Neil.

Thanks for the Thrasher’s Wheat shoutout. Just hit you back, bro.

Great pics and what a heartfelt review. He is one of the most genuinely interesting and intensely caring rockers out there. Must have been a blast being so close to the Legend!

Great review Frank. I'm with you as well. Neil is the underlying foundation for all my musical tastes since I 1st heard him long ago. Factor in Wilco opening and the only thing that would have made it better is playing at Massey again. Neil continues to impress me long past I thought he could, and that is a testament to his ability as a performer.

A side note, I travelled down to Rochester on Sat. to see Wilco's stand alone show there because I couldn't bear a year in which Ionly saw them as an opening act. They were joking about Glenn being away the night before and chiding "Canadians" for booing before the replacement played a note. heh heh

However, I don't know it confirms my long held feeling that Toronto shows are a touch sedate, but Wilco blew the doors off on Sat. night. I don't think I've seen such a good show in Toronto, and I'm like you in that I've seen them every time they've been through town since '01. Maybe since they've been playing shorter sets with Neil they had some extra energy to blow off or something, but they were clearly really into the show. Jeff was at his animated and chatty best, the set list hit everything you could ask for, and everyone in the band was laughing, smiling, joking all night, playing for over 2 hours. Great show. Worth the drive to Rochester!

Great review of a truly memorable show. (And Wilco's 3set from 'Being There' generated pretty much the same reaction outta me as it did for you)
