		<description>I picked up Magnetic Morning&#039;s A.M. at their Horseshoe show. Much like the earlier E.P., it most resembles Franklin&#039;s Toshack output, with a subtle but distinctive songwriting contribution from Sam Fogarino. Maybe not a grabber on first listen, but there&#039;s some really good stuff on there, especially towards the end.

And how awesome are Glasvegas? As if the Proclaimers were looking to acquire more edge, and got lessons from the Raveonettes. (Overseen by David Lynch.)</description>

		<description>And for Canadians who have no reason to follow such trivia, I note that Gotham Acme&#039;s Howard Wolfson&#039;s day job is as a spokesman for Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Also, I still have a soft spot for Norman Cook from his days in The Housemartins, whose debut was the first I ever got paid to review.  It was a good thing to be able to covert vinyl back into food.</description>
