Nice honest Review. Made it thru the whole thing even with ADD... as for the Post, The Star etc... their reviews I rarely read every word. One guy for one of the papers did a review for the Eddie Vedder show night 1 at Massey hall and said the show was around 90min... Loser left and missed EV do "The Seeker" by the Who and about another 40min. of decent acoustic numbers which finished with the stand on your feet, rush the stage.. encore "Hard Sun"... just deadly.

Your take on Radiohead is more common than you think. I am a light-weight fan with little knowledge and know that this has been a talked about subject about the band over recent years.

thanks
Hey, good stuff here lately... but the Beaver is technically not in Parkdale. Close though, it starts on the west side of the tracks at Dufferin.

thanks for your honest review. i am one of those that sort of lost the radiohead mania after kid a - as being one of the few who followed them from the drill e.p., it was a difficult transition. i understand why they moved in the direction they did, but when they put out an album as stunning (and as easily listenable) as o.k. computer, everything i wanted to hear after that was more in that vein.

i will even admit to not having listened to in rainbows, only because i just don't listen to radiohead after o.k. computer. thanks to your review, i will give it a try.

i mention thanking you for your honesty as it's certainly against the grain to say "hey, i liked radiohead when they were accessible and making hits" - something i can now say i'm not the only one who feels that way!

the lights look like crystals.

i notice that iv read people either wishing for more older stuff but then on the atease board they were really excited about these new songs the band was soundchecking and probably would have totally lost it if any of that stuff was played.

to me songs like street spirit and airbag are the hits, but after reading some of these reviews i see my definition is completely out of whack. speaking of feeling young though, in rainbows as excellent as it is i probably have the least emotional connection to because things aren't the same as they were even just a few years ago. inbetween albums and shows i go on mini radiohead hiatus's but then when WASTE wants me to stay up all night to get tickets, i do so without hesitation, a band like that will i hope always get me excited. and on my 3rd time seeing them, finally front row, i couldn't help myself, it would have been excellent no matter what they played.

re: the in rainbows bonus disc. no, you can't get it legally anywhere else besides from the deluxe edition. which means you can probably download it for free in about a minute.
there are actually 6 proper songs, the other 2 are brief soundscapes. out of which arguably 3 are excellent cuts and would not have been out of place on the album.
