Peelander-Z were a lot of fun, but The Jealous Girlfriends, well. Just wow. Their singer is incredibly sexy and charismatic and has an amazing voice and can play guitar and looks like she could kick my ass. My Chrissie Hynde crush is back in a big big way.

a couple years ago at ottawa’s bluesfest, rolf from the acorn was lamenting the fact that everyone thought they were a nice warm fuzzy band. so he started a Pol Pot chant that not many people participated in. one of the funnier things i’ve seen at bluesfest. i imagine what you saw was a pretty similar shtick.

Right now, enjoying one last hot Texas night and then back to cold ass Montreal tomorrow.

I was a SXSW virgin when I came in, now my cherry as been popped and i’m gonna slut it up for many years to come.
