So…no one has heard back from Musebox yet?? I got an email from them on Mar 21, rsvped right away, but I haven’t received anything besides an automated confirmation that they’ve received my request.

David – I know, if it was supposed to be invite only Musebox sure took the shotgun approach to it. anyway, no harm no foul, from my POV – my contest winners are covered and everyone else, good luck to ya.

Hey now, not my fault that Musebox sent out a huge press release yesterday with all the details! I was in touch with the publicist for the Beautiful Noise series a bit last year, and we managed to get the word out about some of their shows last time (http://torontoist.com/2007/…), something they told me they were really grateful for. So when an e-mail dropped in my inbox about more free shows (and no specification about it being for my eyes only or invite-only), I immediately fired off an e-mail back to them saying I was planning to write about it on Torontoist. Hope this hasn’t caused any trouble—my only intention in writing the post was to get the word out.

Doesn’t Musebox have a master list of authorized e-mails from which to accept RSVP requests? BTW, I’m on the Musebox e-mail list and e-mailed twice but haven’t heard back yet. If Musebox wasn’t offering the spots to the general public, they simply shouldn’t accept RSVP requests from outside e-mails. Problem solved, I would think.
