This is my album of the year, and I think what of the better debut albums by any band ever in terms of songwriting maturity and production. My two favorite bands are Radiohead and U2, and their debut albums were very much rooted in the scenes they were a part of at the time, it wasn’t until several albums in that they developed the sounds that they would be known for.

Nice to see the Pale Young Gentlemen here. Good as they are on the record, their live shows have really expanded their sound, which hopefully means bright things to come from them in the future.
