I don't have cable, so for a while I only got CTV and that basically forced me into watching Pushing Daisies if I wanted to watch anything at all on that day, allowing for my instant infatuation with the show (not to mention Anna Friel).

No longer will I lament the fall of Dead Like Me, as I have a new black comedy to keep me giggling at death.

With a lesser cast, I agree Pushing Daisies would be too-cutesy and cloying, but this bunch pulls it off with impeccable comic timing and rhythm. Plus, Anna Friel is so breathtakingly beautiful she makes my knees weak.

My favourite part of Pushing Daisies so far is when the aunt and Olive are in the back seat of the car singing "Birdhouse in Your Soul"

Ah, the reality of dollar parity sets in once again. Despite the fact that the Canadian dollar is currently trading at $1.05 US, Amazon.ca is charging $30.99 for the I’m Not There soundtrack while Amazon.com has it for $14.99. I hope better deals are to be found at Toronto’s music retailers, but I highly doubt it.

So glad you’ve finally taken a gulp of the pushing daisies kool aid. Elizabeth mentioned their gear being stolen, while showing off her new (borrowed) tie-dyed Gibson. Chris was playing with a new? 5 string bass (I hope his ‘vintage’ bass – http://www.chromewaves.net/… – wasn’t stolen too).

Pushing Daisies is amazing! Also, it actually airs a day earlier in Canada on CTV at 8 p.m.

I agree with the hour long Office episodes, not so great. Pushing Daisies, not so much. By far Bryan Fuller’s worst show,it’s way too cutesy for my liking, and I find the writing over done and tiring. You put it perfectly, there can be too much of a good thing, the overall concept is interesting but it’s painful sitting through a full episode. The characters are too quirky and it borderlines on annoying. I gave up on it after two episodes.

Finally! Someone else who agrees that airing hour-long episodes of "The Office" for a whole month is completely unnecessary. There was way too much filler that left me distracted and indifferent about what happened next. Leave the deleted scenes for the DVD, boys.
