all I meant by the 'accessible' comment was that I don't expect to see Franz Ferdinand on MuchMusic with their 'one-hit' like back when rock'n'roll was 'saved' a couple years ago, meaning you'd see the Strokes, White Stripes and Hives in one block of videos and that was that.

I could be wrong, who knows. And that's a lot of 'quotes' I just used.

I would have to say the NYC music scene and the UK charts are not solid indicators as to what is or isn't accessible. No offense but Atomic Kitten charts in the UK and have crowds full of young gals but....

None-the-less having seen FF at Maxwells the night after NYC I thought they were excellent, and I'm glad someone other than me is reminded by them of Blondie...

And speaking, as we all were, of both FF and Mozzer - I'm sure this now old news to all but FF will be opening for Morrissey for his UK tour starting in Manchester (so much to answer for) on Moz's birthday.

Judging from all the young women at the FF show in NYC, I'd have to say they're very accessible.

Album debuted at #2 in the UK. Again, very accessible.

Oh yes, I hope Moz comes to Toronto. Pretty much every album after the first one (which I owned on cassette tape, holy crap) I had a hard time warming up to. But I would definitely see him if he came to town. And not in Hamilton hopefullky like he did the last time.

Argh. I was considering going to the FF show after a friend told me about it and said he was going. Alas I was stuck in a production meeting until 10. Although I could have easily booked it down to the 'Shoe after (if the show wasn't sold out that is), I was dead tired and ready for bed.

At least your team's not named after a Schwarzenegger movie (!). Nashville suX0rs.

I've now heard two songs from the next Mozzer album, and they're easily the best things to come along since 'Vauxhall,' but more musically tied to 'Your Arsenal.'

Yo Nashville boy, you better not be talking smack about Da Leafs - that's a right reserved for long-suffering fans like myself!

I admit, I stopped paying attention to Morrissey a long time ago. Without Marr, I felt the magic was gone and after hearing Johnny's solo stuff, I think the reverse is true as well. Alas.

Have you heard the new Morrissey tracks that he was playing on tour last year? All were easily better than anything on Maladjusted. There are some downloads at ambitiousoutsiders.com
He really looks like he finally got his shot together this time. I can't wait.

In regard to the Smiths/Morrissey comment, I couldn't have put it better. My only difference is that I stopped after Dear Uncle.

On another note, I remember getting the tab books for "Rank" and "Strangeways..." 14 or so years ago when I was a Smiths freak and thinking, "how in the hell does he play that (Bigmouth...)?" I also remember the elation I felt when I finally mastered it. Thanks for taking me back.
